Galleries and exhibitions

'Explore Nature' - our fun-filled natural history gallery has now re-opened and our Balcony Gallery has been re-displayed to highlight our extensive decorative art collection. Visit the galleries page for more information.

'A Fish Sale... Explored' - our new exploration of Stanhope Forbes' well known painting, A Fish Sale on a Cornish beach, is also now on show. Visit the exhibitions page for more details about these and forthcoming shows.

Events and activities

Details are available from our events section. We offer lunchtime talks, concerts and art workshops for adults, holiday workshops for children and families and a range of special events throughout the year.

Refurbishment works

Visit our ground floor redevelopment pages for full details of our refurbishment scheme, and view the changes that are happening in our image galleries. Our refurbished ground floor is due to re-open in 2009 (not late autumn 2008, as previously advertised). All re-opening dates are subject to building and construction work being completed. Keep your eyes peeled for up to date information.
